You are purchasing one new European-made reproduction of the 1926-1930 A, B, C single & 1929 DL rear brake drum or shell as originally used on these models.  This is a very well-built piece made from heavy steel and is on par with the originals in terms of strength and appearance.  Do note that the finish is gloss black powder coat and this DOES NOT come with the shell nut nor any other mounting hardware.  You may need to take a file to lightly clean up powder coat on the splines prior to mounting.

Note: you do not get the band brake kit with this, it is shown in the last photo only for reference as to what the brake mechanism looks like.  We do sell a complete kit at a discount and we also sell the band brake by itself.

The brake drum was used through 1934 on 21" singles, but the books show that the band changed in 1931 for single models.  Adapting this to a later model may be a straightforward procedure, but we've never attempted it.

We are building a stock of single cylinder parts and have recently added the rear brake drum and band assemblies in addition to hardware, tanks, electrical including complete wiring harnesses.  If you don't see what you need here or cimarroncycleworks, just email and ask.

We do carry JD, single, DL, RL, and VL style tool boxes, fenders, tanks, caps, oil pumps, etc.  We sell many other parts for JD, VL, DL, RL, and single models including Solar and Motolamp headlamps, dash panels, ammeters, oil and fuel lines, and complete wiring kits.  If you don't see it there or cimarroncycleworks, just email us and ask.

We are starting to carry more parts for the early models, keep an eye on our space! We also sell hand pumps, gas caps, primer gun caps, fuel lines, oil lines, dash panels, etc. for your JD & VL model.Located at and ships from Cimarron Cycle Works in beautiful Cimarron, New Mexico, USA!
