You are purchasing one new USA Made wiring harness kit for 1948-1950 Harley-Davidson 125S 125cc lightweight two-stroke models or "Hummer" though that was the official designation for a stripped down model introduced in 1955.. This is our "premium" kit. It has correct tinned knife terminals and open barrel AMP or Tyco terminals as used 1948-1950. This also utilizes an NOS headlamp wire harness along with the lamp bulb socket. You can also purchase this kit with pre-wired horn and headlamp dimmer switches.
This kit is for those of you with a three wire generator to regulator cable. If you are unsure which generator you have (3 wire was stock through late 1949 it is thought but many were retro-fitted) order our four wire kit, you can remove the yellow ground wire if you discover later yours is three wire.
Do note that the NOS headlamp harness colors have oxidized over the years so they will not match the rest of the wiring. If that is a concern, let us know and we will put in fresh wires and contacts for you to use with your existing headlamp socket and we will remove the NOS headlamp socket from your order. The kit DOES contain the correct wires to use a brake switch and is everything you need from nose to tail to re-wire your bike except for the actual dimmer switch or horn button assembly, those wires are included and will require you to sweat out the old wires and solder in the new ones. If you are uncomfortable with that, purchase our kit with the wired switches.
The harness is encased in asphalt loom material, wires are single traced as original. Wire colors are accurate as are the wire terminal ends. We used NOS samples to manufacture our harnesses to assure fit and accuracy.
