You are purchasing one new USA Made wiring harness kit for 1953-1956 Harley-Davidson 165 B 165cc lightweight two-stroke models or "Hummer" though that was the official designation for a stripped down model introduced in 1955. This is our "premium" kit. It has correct open barrel AMP or Tyco terminals as used during original production. This kit is for Tele-Glide-equipped models with a Cycle-Ray headlamp with the screw terminals under the front bottom of the lamp and rear terminals on the rear fender. This kit does not use knife terminals as earlier ones did. You can also purchase this kit with pre-wired horn and headlamp dimmer switches. This kit does have the proper generator wire block or plug to pass the wires through the engine case without chafing.
The kit DOES contain the correct wires to use a brake switch and is everything you need from nose to tail to re-wire your bike except for the actual dimmer switch or horn button assembly, those wires are included and will require you to sweat out the old wires and solder in the new ones. If you are uncomfortable with that, purchase our kit with the wired switches. This kit will work up through 1959 with some minor changes, but will be a "ready-to-mount" item for your '53-'56 model.
The harness is encased in asphalt loom material, wires are single traced as original. Wire colors are accurate as are the wire terminal ends. We used NOS samples to manufacture our harnesses to assure fit and accuracy.
