You are purchasing one reproduction speedometer light or lamp socket and cloth-wrapped wire. The socket style was used from 1948 to at least 1984. This comes with the correct 6 volt bulb. If you need 12 volt, I do have those on another listing. I assume this may have also fit models later than 1984, but please do your own research to make sure what fits what.
We stock these with shrink insulation on the ring terminal or without. The shrink insulation is considered "correct" on 1950 and later models, without would be "correct" for 1948 and 1949. As this is an under-dash item, this is entirely at the owner's discretion as you cannot see the wire when the bike is assembled. Let us know if you have a preference on terminal insulation, if you do not, we will default to whichever we happen to grab from the parts bin first.
