You are purchasing an excellent European reproduction of the data plate, caution tag, or nomenclature plate which mounted on the strip between the fuel and oil tank on early WW-II WLC 45" solo contract models for the Canadian Armed Forces during WW-II.  These are simply the best ones on the market today and have been used on high point restorations for years.  This is a black enamel rubbed relief over brass.  It's a beautiful piece.  We also offer these nomenclature or data tags for all other H-D models used during WW-II including a zinc tag for 1943-later WLC.  Even if you don't own any of them, they are a neat trophy case item for your collection.  The brass finish would generally be considered correct for 1942 and 1943 contract years.  Zinc was used on later tags.
