You are purchasing one pull wire brake brake rod clip kit as used on 1934 to early 1937 model Harley-Davidson 45” RL, WL, and Servicar and 61” OHV E & EL Knucklehead models.  It is used as a rear brake shaft lock on W and WL models and is used on the front rear brake rod on big twin Knucklehead and UL to secure the brake switch pull wire and help actuate it when the rear brake pedal is depressed.  All parts are Parkerized and are the correct shape and fit for your restoration.

One book I have suggests this was also used on VL models but my 1941 parts catalog only lists 45” & 61” models for use, please be sure to check your own reference material.

It can certainly be used on later rigid frame big twins and 45” models, but it would be considered “detail correct” for 1934 to early 1937 only.  We do sell the late 1940-1957 pull wire stud/brake lock on another listing in our store as well as the early 1937-1940 machined pull/ brake lock.
