Nice USA made reproduction parkerized rear brake shaft lock and nut kit used on Harley-Davidson big twins from 1930 to 1957 including VL, UL, Knucklehead, and Panhead.
Includes the following:
- 4078-30 (new# 42575-30) Lock
- 2644-30 (new# 7863) Nut
Of course H-D used different finishes and had minute detail changes especially from ’36 to ’57 so as far as 100% “correct” for your year/model, I’m not certain. All I can tell you is this does fit the following:
- 1930-1936 flathead twins including VL, VLH, VLD, 74”, & 80”
- 1936-1947 E, EL, ELA, ELC, FL Knucklehead 61” & 74” OHV
- 1937-1948 U, UL, ULA, UH, ULH big twin SV flathead 74” & 80”
- 1948-1957 Panhead EL, FL, FLH 61” & 74” OHV
Please study the photos, the parkerizing is excellent on these as well as the attention to detail and craftsmanship. This is a very well engineered kit which is spot on for the original in appearance and the metallurgy is done the way H-D did it back in the day.
