You are purchasing one NOS OEM "Cat Eye" dash base and a complete NOS Knucklehead/UL wiring kit for 1939-1946 model Harley-Davidson civilian Knucklehead, U, WL, and Servicar models.  The copper flag terminals are associated with 1939-1945 production bikes, both civilian and military so they are not "detail-correct" for 1946, but dimensionally can be used on a 1946.  They changed to a forked open-barrel type flag terminal starting in 1946 for unknown reasons.

The dash is WW-II surplus, it came originally with a military switch and nos WLA harness.  I've collected all the Knucklehead NOS harness parts over the years.  I used some of these parts as patterns for our highly-detailed Knucklehead wiring kits I build.  I did some minor modifications that would be difficult to tell if I did not mention it.  Literally every wire is included:
  • Switch to coil and battery, three wires 28" each, nickel plated oil pressure cap terminal on 42" black wire is Siamesed to this loom, assuring this is a real Knuckle or UL loom as the WLA's had 28", 26", and 25" wires and a #6 ring terminal for the oil pressure switch.  This is a very, very hard loom to find.
  • Switch to horn and dimmer.  Genuine two wire loom.  It was common practice to cut the third wire off a WLA loom to use it on a civilian bike.  Also difficult to find.
  • Switch to generator and relay, three wires
  • Dimmer switch block and headlamp wires, I will include one of our perfect reproduction copper flag terminals for the R/B headlamp power wire, you will need to loop and solder your wire into terminal ends for your headlamp. Hard to find.
  • Horn switch wire and contact block.   Hard to find.
  • 8" asphalt loom will be included for bar wires
  • Tail lamp wires are correctly lacquered B/W and R/W.  They are -47 listed wires but are the correct length for all bikes 1939-1947.  4" of asphalt loom will be included
  • Timer to coil wire with a soldered stud, which is technically correct until 1942 but this is out of sight when the timer plate is mounted up.  Correct upper terminal used from 1937 to 1947 with the terminal squished to allow it to pass through the bottom timer hole. Does not appear to have ever been used but there is some oily residue in the upper insulation.  This should clean up with a mild cleaner like Simple Green. Included will be new USA Made insulator material nuts and washers.
  • Battery positive wire, correct 13" wire.  I shortened a generator to battery wire and kept the flagged end, I soldered on one of our perfect reproduction copper terminals.  In six months you won't notice the fresher solder.
  • Battery negative, 9 1/2" for 1939-1940, 3 1/2" for 1941-1945, The shorter wire I cut down from a 9 1/2" and soldered on the copper terminal.  Just like the positive this will oxidize out in six months.
  • Switch to dash base wire
  • 5 1/2" generator to relay wire for Knucklehead.  Let me know if you have a UL, I will replace the 5 1/2" wire with a 9" one.
  • Not shown, but included is the 19" coil to brake light switch.  I manufactured this with NOS thin insulation wire I have by looping the switch end and using our copper flag terminal at the coil end.
  • Front fender lamp wire with soldered #6 terminal
  • Three NOS bulbs, filaments appear intact
  • Three lamp terminal contacts for tail lamp and fender lamp if you have a 1946 or '47 Guide fender lamp
