You are purchasing a nice reproduction of the 1960-1980 handlebar grip decorative end plugs, these are roughly 3/4" inner diameter to fit inside the grip for the throttle and spark advance spirals. Overall diameter is 1" and they are roughly 5/8" deep.  I do believe these might fit your 1953-1961 waffle-style grips if your end hole is roughly 3/4".
