Excellent reproduction of Harley part number 68150-49, Guide R-H5 tombstone tail light tag bracket. Holes are countersunk on one side so it's not a requirement to rivet the bracket on but if you are riveting it, it will not interfere with rivet use.
Used on the following models:
- 1949-1954 EL, FL, and FLH Panheads
- 1949 to 1952 WL and up to 1954 Servicar 45 models
Please note, this is the later style bracket which was riveted on the 1949 to 1954 taillights. As well, the spacing between the holes on the bracket is different than the 1947 and 1948 version, therefore it can be problematic counter-sinking the holes to come up with a 68150-47 though any machining would be covered by the mount tab on the back and the license plate on the front. You could always weld the holes closed and re-machine for the correct spacing on the 47-48.
This will even help make a reproduction tombstone tail lamp look much more authentic on a ’49 to ’54 since those did not have the “Guide R-H5” stamped on the front of the tail lamp at that time.
