You are purchasing a complete reproduction rear fender hardware mounting kit to mount the rear fender to the rear struts from 1959 to 1981 Sportster models, XLH, XLCH and other variants of the XL.  Please check your own reference material to make sure this kit is what you need as I don’t know if this would fit the XLCR cafe racer or not.  The machining and Chrome plating on these excellent and the fasteners are spot-on for the originals.  These are to mount the fender to the straight stamped steel chrome style rear fender struts NOT models with the cast aluminum struts.  Please keep this in mind when ordering.  If in doubt, send us an email.

I do have chrome mount kits for the ’52-58 K & Sportster and a correct restoration-finish cad plated kit for the ’52-’58 K & Sportster models as well as this kit in cadmium for 1959 to 1981.  The difference between the ’58 and earlier and ’59 and later rear fender hardware was the earlier style uses straight slot screws and later uses philips or posi-drive head.

We have quite a bit of other hardware in our store for K-Models and Sportsters and the selection is growing weekly.

Used on the following:
  • 1959-1981 XLH, XLCH Sportster
Includes the following parts by OEM part number:
  • 4 ea. 2272 5/16-24 x 1 1/8” oval head post-drive screws
  • 4 ea. 7232 5/16” external tooth shake-proof lock washers

PLEASE NOTE: When it's practical, I will gladly combine all your purchases into one shipment for a discounted rate.

A note on shipping:

Please understand sellers on eBay do not set the shipping rates.  Please also understand that sellers are charged a final value fee on the amount of shipping you are charged over and above the fees they pay on the sale and the Paypal transaction.  In addition to that, sellers have the expense of labels, shipping materials, padded mailers, etc.  I do charge a handling fee on some items, but I also offer several shipping options whenever possible to give you more affordable shipping choices.  If you ever think the shipping fee charged is too high, please let me know before leaving a low rating on shipping charges.  It’s rare that I receive such feedback, but I work hard to keep my customers happy.  I’d rather know if someone is unhappy before they leave a low rating.  That’s the only way I can solve a problem.  I don’t ever want a customer to go away unhappy!

Know who you are buying from! We are not a drop-ship operation, each and every part we sell is carefully inspected to assure you get the quality part described in the listing.  We have a no-hassle return policy, and we stand behind the parts we sell because we know what we are selling and shipping to our customers.  Before you make a purchasing decision compare our feedback vs. others.
We are aware eBay’s shipping calculator is not working correctly on combining shipping for some of our listings.  If the shipping amount eBay is trying to charge you seems high, please contact us immediately or simply click “request total from seller” and we will promptly manually calculate your shipping.  We always combine shipping on multiple item orders and will find the least expensive method which falls in line with how quickly you need your items.  Thank you!
