You are purchasing a brand new reproduction condenser or capacitor for the charging system on XLCH Sportsters. These were originally issued near the end of the 1963 model season and used through 1969 though they can be used back to 1958 on models with lighting and a horn. This was used to keep the lights from dimming when the horn button was depressed. Photos show where this mounts on different XLCH models.
This is a direct replacement for 32727-63 for 12 volt systems. I'm not certain what happens if it's used on 6 volt systems. If you are running an XLCH without the battery you should be running a 12 volt generator anyhow. Rated at 25 VDC & 500 MFD
1" diameter x 2 1/4" long. Wire is approximately 12" long.
