Parkerized, restoration-quality reproduction lower fork buffer springs replace OEM# 2622-36 or late OEM# 46058-36.  Used on many different models from 1936 to 1957, including Knucklehead, Panhead, big twin flathead UL, 45” solo WL & WLA.  Servicars, 1942 & 1943 WLC, and models equipped with side cars used a taller buffer spring OEM# 2621-39 or 46059-39 and we do carry that on a different listing.  We also carry the upper buffer spring 2622-30 or 46057-30 on other listings and sell complete fork spring kits.  If you do not see them in our listings, just ask.  Catalog pages are used for reference only.  You do not get a catalog or catalog page with your item.

There apparently was a different buffer spring 2622-48 issued in 1948 for WL models using the hydraulic front shock, but it does not appear to currently be in production.  I honestly have no idea how it differed from this spring nor the Servicar/sidecar spring.

Please do your research and make sure this is the part you need for your bike and that you don't have a modified or after-market fork which may be incompatible.  These will work with proper reproduction forks, custom forks (i.e. extended length or chopper forks) are a different story.

The spring length is 3 3/4” and the ID is .528

Used on the following without a sidecar:
  • 1937 to 1948 U, UL, ULH, UH 74" & 80" Flathead
  • 1940 to 1952 W, WL, WLD, WLA and possibly WR or WLDR 45” Solo
  • 1936 to 1947 E, EL, F, FL 61” & 74” OHV Knucklehead
  • 1948 EL, FL 61” & 74” OHV Panhead
PLEASE NOTE: When it's practical, I will gladly combine all your purchases into one shipment for a discounted rate.

A note on shipping:

Please understand sellers on eBay do not set the shipping rates.  Please also understand that sellers are charged a final value fee on the amount of shipping you are charged over and above the fees they pay on the sale and the Paypal transaction.  In addition to that, sellers have the expense of labels, shipping materials, padded mailers, etc.  I do charge a handling fee on some items, but I also offer several shipping options whenever possible to give you more affordable shipping choices.  If you ever think the shipping fee charged is too high, please let me know before leaving a low rating on shipping charges.  It’s rare that I receive such feedback, but I work hard to keep my customers happy.  I’d rather know if someone is unhappy before they leave a low rating.  That’s the only way I can solve a problem.  I don’t ever want a customer to go away unhappy!

Know who you are buying from! We are not a drop-ship operation, each and every part we sell is carefully inspected to assure you get the quality part described in the listing.  We have a no-hassle return policy, and we stand behind the parts we sell because we know what we are selling and shipping to our customers.  Before you make a purchasing decision compare our feedback vs. others.

We are aware eBay’s shipping calculator is not working correctly on combining shipping for some of our listings.  If the shipping amount eBay is trying to charge you seems high, please contact us immediately or simply click “request total from seller” and we will promptly manually calculate your shipping.  We always combine shipping on multiple item orders and will find the least expensive method which falls in line with how quickly you need your items.  Thank you!
