You are purchasing one 4124-38A brake operating stud grease nipple for the brake shackle stud and brake cam end.  This uses a threaded-in style grease zerk fitting on spring fork models from 1938-1957.  To be correct for use on the brake cam, you need a 45 or 90 degree grease zerk.  The brake shackle used a straight zerk.

Alemite flat top grease fittings as were used prior to 1938 on all Harley-Davidson models including JD, VL, RL, DL, Servicar, Knucklehead, UL, and WL and A, B, and C singles and Sport Twins.  Zerks were used 1938 and up.  We sell the special cap nut with a machined-in alemite fitting on another listing.

We do sell nickel plated and brass alemite grease fittings and an Alemite grease gun fitting on another listing, as well as a complete grease gun kit in our store.

We also sell complete grease gun kits, nickel and brass Alemite fittings in our store as well as zerk fittings in straight and angled configurations.  If you don’t see what you need, just ask.  We also sell the Alemite grease gun fitting in our store by itself.

Please check my eBay store for CP-1035 and CP-1038 hardware, parkerized clamps & clips, speedometer drives, decals, tank emblems, and other odds and ends for your vintage Harley project.

A note on shipping:

Please understand sellers on eBay do not set the shipping rates.  Please also understand that sellers are charged a final value fee on the amount of shipping you are charged over and above the fees they pay on the sale and the Paypal transaction.  In addition to that, sellers have the expense of labels, shipping materials, padded mailers, etc.  I do charge a handling fee on some items, but I also offer several shipping options whenever possible to give you more affordable shipping choices.  If you ever think the shipping fee charged is too high, please let me know before leaving a low rating on shipping charges.  It’s rare that I receive such feedback, but I work hard to keep my customers happy.  I’d rather know if someone is unhappy before they leave a low rating.  That’s the only way I can solve a problem.  I don’t ever want a customer to go away unhappy!

Know who you are buying from! We are not a drop-ship operation, each and every part we sell is carefully inspected to assure you get the quality part described in the listing.  We have a no-hassle return policy, and we stand behind the parts we sell because we know what we are selling and shipping to our customers.  Before you make a purchasing decision compare our feedback vs. others.
We are aware eBay’s shipping calculator is not working correctly on combining shipping for some of our listings.  If the shipping amount eBay is trying to charge you seems high, please contact us immediately or simply click “request total from seller” and we will promptly manually calculate your shipping.  We always combine shipping on multiple item orders and will find the least expensive method which falls in line with how quickly you need your items.  Thank you!
